como quitar contraseña del BIOS en una laptop

hola, necesito ayuda, lo que pasa es que tengo me llego una laptop y necesita restaurar el sistema, pero me pide una contraseña para ingresar al bios y el clienteno la recuerda, como le puedo hacer para quitarsela o cambiarla

Hola ILHUITEMOC, pues esto nunca lo he echo, pero he leido por ahi que tienes que juntar unos puntos del puerto serie del portatil, pero ya te digo nunca lo he echo, asi que me temo que no puedo ayudarte, bueno esperemos que alguien sepa algo, venga un saludo.

hola. te agradesco de antemano el intentar ayudarme con mi problema.
bueno despues de tanto investigar encontre que se le puede quitar la contraseña al BIOS de una laptop quitando la pila del bios y si es cierto ya lo comprobe, otro metodo que tambien encontre es que por medio de la conexion de los pines de un puerto paralelo, los cuales son los siguientes:
1-5-10
2-11
3-17
4-12
6-16
7-13
8-14
9-15
otra tecnica es por medio del debug que es con la siguente "configuracion":
o 70 17
o 71 ff

La BIOS fue reseteada. Ahora tendrás que configurarla nuevamente.
pero para serte cincero no lo entendi muy bien .

 If this doesn't work, you can try to build the Toshiba Parallel loopback. To make a simple device that you connect to your parallel port, a lot of Toshiba computers remove the password when you boot it up. The device, named "loopback" by some, could be made out of any parallell wire with 25pins connectors (db25). You should connect these pins: 1-5-10, 2-11, 3-17, 4-12, 6-16, 7-13, 8-14, 9-15, 18-25



Bueno eh citado aqui a todos los que tenian problema de lo mismo con TOSHIBA sobre el arranque de la bios (contraseña) eh encontrado la respuesta malamente en ingles pero espero que el moderador del hardware nos ayude explicandonos el procedimiento en español.

Creating a BIOS Password Key Disk for Toshiba laptops    

Many of the Toshiba notebooks allow you to bypass the BIOS password by inserting a "key-disk" into the floppy disk drive while booting. To create a Toshiba Keydisk, take a 720Kb or 1.44Mb floppy disk, format it (under windows), then use a hex editor to change the first five bytes of the second sector (the one after the boot sector) and set them to 4B 45 59 00 00 (note that the first three bytes are ASCII for "KEY") followed by two zeroes.

Once you have created the key disk put it into the notebook's drive and boot the laptop. When asked for password, press Enter. You will be asked to Set Password again. Press Y and Enter. You'll enter the BIOS configuration tool where you can set a new password.
